FIREFIGHTERS are taking their kitchen safety message on the road to cut the number of house fires in Cheshire.
A chip pan fire demonstration vehicle will tour station open days in the town throughout this month to coincide with national cooking safety month.
Evan Morris, head of community fire safety, said: “More than half of all house fires we attend start in the kitchen.
“Never leave cooking unattended, ensure ovens and grill pans are clean and don’t leave tea towels next to hot hobs.”
