PLAYING a flatmate from hell in Hollyoaks on Tuesday night was actress Rachel Priest, a former Bridgewater High School pupil.
Rachel was being interviewed for a flat-share by George Smith (Steven Roberts) and Jacqui McQueen (Claire Cooper) and told them that she was macrobiotic, wheat-free, dairy-free and had her own wormery. She was certainly viewed as fun-free by the pair and safe to say not likely to be at the top of their list.
Rachel, aged 30, who lives in Thelwall Lane, Latchford, was last seen on our screens in Coronation Street where she twice played a paramedic – last seen taking Tracey Barlow (Kate Ford) off to hospital when she lost her twins.
Her next big part is in BBC1’s Holby City later this year.
“Watching yourself appear on TV is not a happy experience but it is something you have got to get used to,” said Rachel.
A former member of Warrington Youth Theatre, Rachel later studied drama at Edge Hill University.
Her previous TV roles have included ITV dramas Blue Murder and Cold Blood.
Rachel grew up on Park Crescent, Appleton, where her parents Dave and Liz still live.
