A UNIQUE charity that helps disabled youngsters is looking to give more of them the holiday of a lifetime.
Each year TEIDE, the Tenerife Educational tours for Infirm and Disadvantaged children's Exchange, takes children on a two-week holiday to the Canary Islands.
To raise money, charity champion Rex Mallett organises osteoporosis screenings.
The Warrington man works as a sonographer in the International Clinic in the Canary Islands and has been a tireless campaigner for osteoporosis and for the children that the charity supports.
He said: "There is so much that can be done for people, particularly women.
"This disease is one of the easiest to treat if found early.
"I am always happy to return to the UK at my own expense for this purpose sure in the knowledge that all finance raised will go entirely to the charity."
And Mr Mallett, who is now back in Warrington, added that the charity was currently looking for youngsters to take.
He added: "We are looking for disadvantaged children who have never had this opportunity before to go on an all expenses paid trip to Tenerife together with their carers.
"These do not have to be disadvantaged youngsters and any who are having a hard time in life will be invited on a holiday of a lifetime."
For information about screening events and to book an appointment for next week call 813652.
The charity asks for a donation of £15 in return for the screening.
