Dave Robb, from Unison - whose members were among the paramedics to man picket lines at the Farrell Street station, said: “There will be a reduction in ambulance cover. We are manning some emergency cover.

“Due to what the Coalition Government are doing they have forced our hand. It is with a heavy heart we are taking this action. We do not take this action lightheartedly.”
