MOST schools in Warrington will close on Wednesday due to the public sector strikes.

Bins services will also be off as staff walkout in a pension dispute.

All schools will close apart from Alderman Bolton Primary School, Bewsey Lodge, Bruche, Cherry Tree in Lymm, Christ Church in Padgate, Culcheth Primary, Newchurch in Culcheth, Sankey Valley St James in Great Sankey, St Monica's in Appleton, Sycamore Lane in Great Sankey and Woolston High.

All council buildings including the market will be shut while chiefs say only emergency calls will be answered.

Staff are taking the industrial actions over changes to their final salary pensions.
