I saw something on TV today about Britain’s kindest child. I was shocked. Since when were kind acts subject to judgement and competition?
I am all for encouraging people (not just children) to act kindly to others, but I don’t think it should be made into a competition.
I believe the winner won through raising money for charity which is indeed very kind act and he should be applauded for his achievements and does deserve recognition but I think another word besides kind should be applied.
There are many kind people out there who day in and day out will do something which will greatly affect somebody’s life. More people should be more kind, more people should help others; more people should think of others and do kind things.
Kindness should be a way of life, not something for a competition.
