Bonfire Night and Halloween are fast approaching and I'm not a fan of either particularly.
Halloween seems to be the one time of year when the rule 'Don't take sweets from strangers' seems to be thrown out of the window.
I don't have anything against costumes (although not something I do really) Now, while I don't have anything against the festivities of Bonfire Night, I don't think fireworks should be sold to individuals. Every year there are stories of horrendous injuries and acts of unspeakable cruelty committed by sadistic people.
Fireworks should only be allowed at organised firework displays.
Some people may say that not everyone can afford to go but fireworks aren't cheap either.
Accidents happen. One accident is too many and even one firework being misused is one too many.
I don't want to read about another tragic occurrence.
