ISSUES of violent extremism in the UK will be addressed at the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace.
The Old Hall charity will host a two-day conference, called Rethinking Radicalisation, today, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Speakers included Professor Ted Cantle, the executive chairman of the Institute of Community Cohesion, and Dr Robert Lambert, co-director at the European Muslim Research Centre at the University of Exeter. The event will explore why people become radicalised with former members of extreme organisations such as the Irish National Liberation Army, the Ulster Volunteer Force and Hizb ut-Tahrir taking part.
