POLICE say they will keep the roads moving to cope with the crowds of 50,000 revellers at this weekend’s Creamfields music festival.
They have come up with a plan to make access to and from the Daresbury site as simple as possible.
Police say they expect traffic to be worse on Friday and Saturday morning and leaving on Monday morning.
A spokesman said: “Drivers in the area are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to be alert as the roads will be busier than normal.”
The north car park will be for day ticket holders only and anyone who is being dropped off or picked up for camping.
Anyone parking and camping for the whole weekend should head for the south car park.
Local roads will have full and partial closures on them – but residents will still be able to gain access to their homes at all times.
