Anyway, the title is about corruption.

I watched the Dispatched programme about conservation and it was surprising. The way in which some conservation is carried out is shocking and it reminded me that nothing is perfect and it seems good intentions can always be ruined by a few people who care less for the cause and more for money.

It did make me aware (again) of a few sad truths of the world.

I happen to be a sponsor of an Elephant through the WWF which was one of the charities mentioned.

The programme criticised the charity because of where it gets its money from and their practices which could be argued as a fair point.

What was not a fair point in my opinion was the negativity expressed about elephants, almost claiming too much had been done and they were pests.

None of the other animals listed for protection by the WWF were criticised like this. It singled them out too much.

Needless to say I have a lot to say about the programme. I have my own opinions and the programme definitely raised some questions.

Mainly, should the WWF receive sponsorship?

That question is tough to answer. I don't know and I've got plenty more to say on why it isn't black and white. Whatever the answer, I can still say this: I'll always love elephants.
