A PUBLIC inquiry will be held into restrictions to HGVs using a Stretton Road.
Jon Plant, Warrington Borough Council's design consultancy manager, said: "The council received a complaint regarding the use of Well Lane by HGV traffic.
"Following an investigation of this complaint, the council has advertised a proposal to introduce a length restriction on Well Lane to preserve the amenity of the lane.
"As the proposal would, if introduced, prohibit access for more than eight hours in any period of 24 hours for HGV traffic, there is a statutory requirement to hold a public inquiry on the basis that objections have been received to the proposal.
"As this is now the subject of an inquiry it would be inappropriate to comment further."
The inquiry will be held from, Wednesday, September 20, to Friday, September 22, at The Gateway, Sankey Street, opposite the town hall.
