THE starting line is getting ever closer but there is still time to sign up to help the Warrington Guardian's charity of the year, Openingdoors.
The homeless charity is holding its first family fun run in Woolston Park on September 23 and by taking part you could help raise funds.
Some of the services Openingdoors provide include: night shelters, giving direct access accommodation and support for adults, housing assessment for people with drug problems, a rent deposit scheme to give access to a tenancy, assessment, housing advice, information and support for young people.
The run will start at 2pm, but organisers are asking if people could arrive at 12.30pm for registration. Children are invited to get involved in the run and people can also wear fancy dress.
Entrants don't have to raise sponsorship but there is an entrance fee to take part. To pick up an entry form, call into the Warrington Guardian office at The Academy, go online at warringtonguardian.co.uk or call 246936.
