IF Rockports and a stripey jumper are your favourite partying attire then think again.
To stay one step ahead of the rest, McCauley's on Bridge Street have banned revellers dressed in the famous footwear and stripes from setting foot inside their doors.
A spokesman for the bar, which has been around for 12 years, said: "We aim to undertake Challenge 21 and that also means no hoodies, so we decided to keep ahead of the game and banned these items too."
Hooded tops, tracksuits and caps were banned by police earlier this year after 8pm to reduce disorder in the town centre. The bar, which is a member of the town centre Pubwatch scheme, wants to discourage gangs and binge drinking and believes this is the best way.
"McCauleys is known by everyone in Warrington and we are just trying to create a safe environment, which I hope we do," added the spokesman.
