THE family of a teenager who died days before he was due to start his dream job have paid tribute to his love of life.
Iain Hughes, aged 18, died in a road accident in Wrexham on Saturday.
The air cadet sergeant had recently moved to the North Wales town with his parents and sister after living in Norbreck Close in Great Sankey for the past 17 years. The accident happened when he was travelling back from Warrington.
The former Sycamore Lane Primary School pupil was still working as a part-time life guard at Great Sankey leisure centre but was due to start an apprenticeship at Airbus in Broughton near Chester next week, which his dad Stephen Hughes said his son had been looking forward to. He said: "He was a lively youngster and was just back from a holiday in Spain with his friends. He was very sociable and well-liked and will be very sadly missed by all. He was such a kind person and would do anything for anyone."
Iain was a member of Penketh swimming club for 11 years.
The funeral will take place at St John's Church in Walton next Wednesday, September 13, at 2pm.
