WARRINGTON'S acclaimed Male Voice Choir will continue to run its two separate Last Night at the Proms' events this year to meet audience demand.
The first event will be a brass night featuring the talents of Wingates Band on Friday, September 22.
The traditional Last Night' will take place on Saturday, September 23, with all the usual patriotic razzamatazz, including Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory as well as a guest appearance by the Liverpool Mozart Orchestra.
A choir spokesman said: "The Parr Hall concerts have always been important to us.
"They provide the revenue that subsidises all our charitable works throughout the rest of the year around the UK and beyond.
"This year, with storm clouds forming around the venue, it is doubly important that we show the council that there is a positive need for the maintenance of a multi-purpose entertainment centre in the town."
Brass Night' is almost sold out but there are limited numbers available for the Last Night'.
