TWO Warrington churches will open their doors this weekend as part of an English Heritage weekend.
The Church of St John the Evangelist in Higher Walton and St Barnabas RC Church on Lovely Lane will both be displayed next weekend as part of a national event.
The Higher Walton church dates back to 1885, having been built by Sir Gilbert Greenall as part of the Walton Estate.
It is open on Saturday, September 9 between 10am and 4pm.
St Barnabas meanwhile will open between 11am and 3pm on Saturday and 1pm and 4pm on Sunday, September 10.
The red brick church was built in 1878/79 and was designed by William and Segar Owen.
There will be a children's tour quiz and refreshments.
