ALMOST two hundred arrests have been made this year by Cheshire Police thanks to information left with the Crimestoppers charity.
Information provided by 1,493 members of the public to the anonymous organisation, Crimestoppers, has lead to 192 arrests this year, making Cheshire Police one of the highest performing forces in the country.
Arrests included crimes of burglary, counterfeit goods, illegal tobacco and drugs cultivation.
Terry Savage, chairman of Cheshire Crimestoppers, said: “We’re extremely proud that Crimestoppers continues to play such a vital role in helping to make our community a safer place to live.”
