Poulton with Fearnhead Parish Council has donated £100 to the Warrington Association for Special Children.
The charity needs cash to support summer holiday play schemes which are held across various venues.
Last year’s work cost WASC £38,000.
The charity supports children with severe learning difficulties.
A donation was also made by the parish council to the North West Air Ambulance charity of £100.
Lynda Brislin, charity chief executive, said: “Please accept our warmest thanks on behalf of everyone involved with the North West Air Ambulance for your generosity and support, enabling us to continue our life saving work through the region.”
In April, an 18-year-old injured his knee doing a somersault at Bennett’s Rec.
The air ambulance helped land crews at the scene.
