RAISE a pom pom to celebrate cheerleading success at Lysander High.
The Lysander Beez came third in a national competition less than a year after forming as a team.
Formed after requests came from students, this was their first major event.
PE teacher Rachel Taylor said: “I am so proud of the girls’ achievement. They have been rewarded for the hard work they put in.
“They gave up most of their Easter holiday to polish the routine, as well as every night after school.”
The school also paid tribute to Clare Haven a student teacher from Liverpool John Moores University who helped prepare the team.
