A FORMER Coronation Street star has been helping a Stockton Heath man’s charity efforts.
Neil Baumber, who organised the 10k Run for Heroes at Tatton Park, was given a boost by Beverley Callard, who played barmaid Liz McDonald, after she launched a two-day sponsored motor cycle challenge.
Neil said: “Beverley is a great cheerleader. This is our way of remembering the soldiers who fought for the freedoms we enjoy now and showing our respect and gratitude for the returning servicemen and women involved in current conflicts.”
A Liz McDonald matador dress auction will round off the fundraising at The Civic Centre, Connah’s Quay tomorrow, Friday.
