A LUCKY Scout from Stockton Heath will have the adventure of a lifetime after he was selected to represent the UK at the 22nd World Scout Jamboree.

Joe Sheppard, of Swanage Close, will attend the July event, this year hosted by the Swedish Guide and Scout Council in the town of Kristianstad in the south of the country.

Joe, aged 16, is a member of the Warrington West District Scout Group and he will be among 30,000 Scouts aged 14 to 17 from 150 countries to descend on the site.

There he will have the chance to make friends, learn about other cultures and enjoy camping activities. Joe and fellow Scouts need £12,000 to secure their place at the jamboree. To help visit justgiving.com/David-Sheppard0.
