LEARN more about the fascinating tradition of canal art at a workshop later this month.
The event takes place in Grappenhall next Saturday, May 21, and people can learn the traditional techniques that have been used to paint boats and other possessions for more than 100 years.
Historically, owners painted roses on their boats as their way of having a garden, despite being on the water, and the techniques are similar to those used by the Romanies on their caravans. For more information, call Sharon Richardson on 266846.
