A WARRINGTON company has devised a unique way to help schools save money to spend on educational equipment.
When teachers issue parents with a list of term-times and important dates, Woolston business Schooling Solutions publishes them on a colourful poster for families to refer to.
In turn Schooling Solutions, based on Manchester Road, offers advertising space on the posters to businesses and gives a share of the profit back to schools to use as they wish.
Since its launch in November, Schooling Solutions has already pledged more than £4,000 to the 14 schools it is currently working with.
Joint company founders James McKay and Richard Dickinson came up with the idea. They said: “We are certain that schools, parents and businesses will find many benefits from our scheme and we would like to stress that under no circumstances would a school or indeed its parents incur any cost whatsoever.”
Schooling Solutions currently works with nine Warrington schools and a further five in Lowton and Newton-le-Willows.
The first two that became involved were Burtonwood’s St Paul of the Cross, which James’ children attend, and Bewsey’s St Alban’s, which Richard’s children go to.
The other Warrington schools the company works with are Cherry Tree Primary School, Lymm, Culcheth Community Primary School, Sankey Valley St James Primary School, Latchford St James CE Primary School, Thelwall Community Junior School, St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School, Penketh, and St Oswald’s Catholic Primary School, Padgate.
