A CHARITY night held in memory of former Warrington Guardian colleague Jennie Hardy has raised more than £1,400.
The Northern Soul/Motown charity evening at Grappenhall Ex-Servicemen’s club collected £1,430 which will be split between Macmillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research with the help of family and friends.
The following businesses helped with prizes on the night; Andrew Harris Furniture gave a £100 voucher, Pyramid and Parr Hall offered tickets to see comedian Jimmy Carr, AVSL Ltd gave an electric guitar and amp, a £15 beauty voucher was offered by Kimono, a four week leisure pass at Daresbury Park, a Warrington Wolves signed shirt, £40 voucher from Mojo’s, a blow dry from Toni and Guy and a portrait and photo shoot from Piero Belmonte Photography.
Thanks also to Andi Lomax, professional DJ, who donated his time on the night.
Also, all band members from Edith Moose who performed several songs on the night.
