A FEARNHEAD father of the bride is looking for help getting to the church on time because his chemotherapy appointment clashes with his daughter’s big day.
John Tansey, aged 69, has missed two sessions due to bank holidays and has been told he cannot miss a third at St Helens Hospital after being diagnosed with bone cancer for a second time.
The family say the 9am appointment will leave him little time to get to the 12pm wedding at Mottram Hall, Prestbury, on June 3.
Bride-to-be Amy, of Padgate Lane, said: “I couldn’t believe it.
“It’s the third thing to go wrong as my other half Jonathon Knight was supposed to have his final quantity surveying exam at university on the day of the wedding so now he can’t graduate until next year. “There’s been problems with the bridesmaid dresses and now this.”
Rhiannon Jones, Amy’s bridesmaid and employer at Divine Nails and Beauty, Church Street, said: “We really want to help.. I’m appealing to anyone.
“We think perhaps a helicopter ride is the only way we will get John to the church on time.”
If you can help, contact Rhiannon on 07968750473 or e-mail divinenailsandbeauty@hotmail.
