WINWICK Leisure Centre was targeted twice by burglars in under a week.
During the first incident on March 30 a man brazenly walked into the Myddleton Lane building while it was open at 5.45pm.
He then proceeded to breeze into an office where he stole a laptop and projector before leaving undetected.
The man, who was not armed, was described as white, balding and middle aged and he wore trainers, dark trousers and a grey coat.
Officers have issued CCTV images of the man as well as conducting forensic enquiries, speaking to staff and customers at the leisure centre and viewing video footage.
On April 3 two men forced their way through the centre’s main entrance between 10pm and 2.25am on April 4.
Although the alarm was activated the intruders were able to get through an internal door and steal an empty safe from an office before escaping.
The men both wore dark clothing and balaclavas and were captured entering the office on CCTV.
At this point Cheshire Police are unable to say whether the two incidents, during which no one was injured, were connected.
Anyone with any information in relation to the identity of the man pictured is asked to call Cheshire Police on 0845 458 0000.
