MUSIC from two very different composers will be showcased at the latest concert by Warrington Musical Society.

The first will be Dvorák’s Mass in D, a piece originally written for the organ and a small choir in 1892 while the second piece will feature Karl Jenkins’ Gloria – the world premiere of which was performed in July last year.

The performance will be at The Church of the Resurrection/St Bridgets, Enfield Park Road, Fearnhead, at 7.30pm, next Sunday.

Admission is £7 and free for children.

The society, which was formed in Warrington in 1832, has always performed a wide range of musical styles from Morley to McCartney spanning several centuries of composing and musical styles.

New members are welcome to rehearse at Christ Church CE Primary School, Station Road, Padgate, at 7.15pm on Tuesdays.
