A BABY garden is getting a makeover after bereaved parents complained about the poor condition of the grounds.
Following meetings with Warrington Borough Council, the Forget-Me-Not garden, at Warrington Cemetery, Manchester Road, is undergoing a series of improvements.
So far new low fencing has been put up to discourage anti-social behaviour and there are plans to install two CCTV cameras that were made redundant from Fox Covert Cemetery.
Outstanding jobs include repairing the sun dial monument, cleaning and treating the garden’s wooden benches and fixing the tap and hose so people can fill vases.
A follow-up meeting for parents and the council’s bereavement services team will take place on Saturday from 1pm at the cemetery chapel.
