ORGANISERS were all smiles at the start of a mammoth 24-hour charity fundraising relay race in Victoria Park.
The Relay For Life was created to help raise money for Cancer Research UK by getting teams to take part in the full day relay.
Throughout the day and night there were activities to keep the crowds amused and help to raise more money for charity.
And so far they have managed to raise £6,500 with more sponsorship due to come in.
The organisers will be holding a post-event barn dance at Alford Hall, off Manchester Road in Bruche with Warrington Male Voice Choir.
Tickets for the event, which will take place on Friday, September 1, cost £8 each and will include a hotpot supper and live music from the Liverpool Country Dance Band. All proceeds from the night will go towards the fundraising total and to book tickets contact 01925 266472.
