MULTIPLE Mayhem, a group aimed at mums who have twins or triplets has been launched at Westy SureStart.

The group is open to mums-to-be who are expecting a multiple birth through to mums with children up to school age.

The group will offer support and advice on a range of issues that might affect mums, and the group offers antenatal advice to help expectant mums know what to expect from the birth and onwards.

The group is run by midwife Pat Goulden and Cindy McCallum, who are planning to create a packed schedule of events for everyone who attends, including an awareness day and trips out.

Pat said: "I give them all the support I can and tell them what to expect with the birth. They can all share information so they don't feel alone.

"We're trying to make it a lot easier for mums."

As the only organisation aimed at mums with twins or triplets in Warrington, the group will welcome mums from across the town. The group is also registered with Twins and Multiple Births Association (TAMBA).

Multiple Mayhem holds sessions at Westy SureStart on Tuesdays between 12.30pm and 2pm and on Thursdays between 10am and noon at Fun 2B at Portland Place, Buckley Street.
