AROUND 20 firefighters turned out to a blaze at a unit on Hawleys Lane on bank holiday Monday.
Firefighters from Warrington were called out to the blaze shortly before 8.30pm.
When they arrived the fire involved a building which had a large amount of smoke issuing from the roof space.
They then requested firefighters from Birchwood as well as the hydraulic platform from Stockton Heath attend the fire.
Firefighters at first had difficulty gaining excess to the building.
Just after 9pm the officer in charge at the scene requested two engines from Widnes to help to deal with the blaze.
The hydraulic platform was used to monitor the condition of the building's roof.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
