THESE activists were campaigning against the BNP in Bewsey and Whitecross on Saturday.
The Hope not Hate group are against the election of anyone from the far-right party being elected in May.
Mike Phillips is standing for the BNP in the area.
Aneela Sultan, Hope Not Hate campaign organiser for Warrington, said: “We are campaigning because we don’t want the BNP here.
“In the Bewsey and Whitecross area there is a BNP candidate standing but I would not want even one BNP councillor in Warrington.
“They have a hate campaign to get muslims out of this country and I am muslim, so for me it’s a big thing."
She added that members of the youth parliament joined the leaflet drop at the weekend and that the reaction had been ‘mostly good’.
However, some of the group had bottle tops thrown at them during the leaflet drop, said Mrs Sultan.
Nick Bent, Labour Parliamentary spokesman for Warrington South, said: "I'm delighted Warrington Young Labour are showing solidarity with the brave volunteers from Hope not Hate and jointly tackling the lies and prejudices of the BNP. Young people of all political persuasions want a peaceful and positive future for our town."
