AN arson attack destroyed around 14 scrap cars last Tuesday.
Firefighters were called to the Winwick scrap yard in Burtonwood shortly after 1am.
The crew ordered another appliance from Warrington as the fire involved 25 scrap cars which were well alight.
A foam branch was used to extinguish the fire as well as two main water jets.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said that about 14 derelict cars were destroyed in the incident, which was treated as arson.
