CYCLING rates have gone up over the past five years.
Warrington still lags behind other areas when it comes to cycling to work but improvements have been made by the Local Transport Plan that ran from 2001 to 2006.
Studies reveal that cycling increased by 75 per cent during that time, and the amount of people parking up at cycle bays in the town centre increased by 17 per cent between 2004/5 and 2005/6.
