A WARNING has been issued after a rogue Internet holiday company left people hundreds of pounds out of pocket.
Trading Standards officers in Warrington say they have been contacted by people booking a holiday through the Unbeatable Holidays website.
They say the company may have been trading for some time and actually providing holidays but lately none have been booked and the company has disappeared overnight leaving at least 100 people out of pocket to the tune of hundreds of pounds.
Clr Roy Smith, the borough council's executive member for community services, said: "Sadly this case emphasises the need to exercise great caution when shopping on the Internet."
The activities of this company are being investigated by the police and anyone who has dealt with Unbeatable Holidays and paid for a holiday is advised to get in touch with Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06 in the first instance.
