LOVELY Lane lifted the Warrington Guardian Challenge Cup in convincing style on Sunday.
They overcame a handicap of 27 chalks to defeat Bank Two B 242-205 in Warrington Public Parks' Bowls League's premier team competition at Penketh Bowls Club.
It was Lovely's first win in the competition since 2002 but some of their players are no strangers to cup final success in 2006.
One week earlier, W Bailey, Dave Fisher and Tony Smith were in the Tetley A side that defeated favourites St Oswalds in Warrington and North Cheshire Bowls Association's Silcock Cup Final.
Bailey was one of only two losers in the Lane team, with Ted Green and Damian Morrison recording the best cards with 21-9 successes.
However, the man of the match award went to Bank's Dougie Dale after his 21-13 defeat of Brian Lewis early on in the final.
