A WEEKEND of events to raise funds for the Shannon Bradshaw Trust takes place next month.
On Friday, September 22, there will be an evening at the races at the Railway Club on Winwick Street.
As well as cabaret and disco, the first race starts at 7.30pm with an entrance fee of £2.50.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, September 23, the Shannon Bradshaw Memorial Trophy fishing match takes place at the Bridgewater Canal at Daresbury Laboratories. The draw is at 9.30am with fishing between 11am and 4pm. Tickets are £8 with a raffle and there are crystal vases to be won. They are available from Bill Tasker on 815762 or 07989 559743.
