FINANCE bosses at Warrington Borough Council have spent £1.3m more than they planned in the first quarter of this year.
Figures for its budget monitoring scheme until the end of June this year show a number of council departments have been overspending.
A £563,000 overspend in children's services will be recouped through a central Government grant, members of Warrington Borough Council's executive board were told on Monday evening.
Other areas over spending include corporate services, community services and environmental services.
Corporate financing and the chief executive's department recorded an underspend.
