BOROUGH Council bosses have released the following traffic information ahead of next weekend's Creamfields event.

It is anticipated that there will be heavy traffic during the event, especially on the A56 Chester Road. Warrington residents who are not attending the event but are travelling in the area are advised to avoid the A56.

Traffic arrangements are: Travelling to the venue from WARRINGTON (preferred route) From town centre take A5060 Chester Road and continue onto A56.

Stay in left hand lane.

At Park Lane turn left into event car parks.

Travelling to the venue from EAST/NORTH/ SOUTH (preferred route) From motorway follow signs for M56 Chester.

Exit motorway at Junction 10 Stretton.

Take A49 (London Road) northbound.

At Cat and Lion Public House turn left onto Hatton Lane B5356.

Turn left onto Daresbury Lane and then enter car parks.

Travelling to the venue from WEST (preferred route) From all destinations follow signs for M56 Manchester.

Exit motorway at Junction 10 Stretton.

Take A49 (London Road) northbound.

At Cat and Lion Public House turn left onto Hatton Lane B5356.

Turn left onto Daresbury Lane and then enter car parks.

Travelling to the venue from Liverpool/Merseyside (preferred route).

From City Centre take A561 and then continue on A562 towards Runcorn.

At Runcorn Bridge (A533) take A533 towards Northwich.

Continue on A558 (Daresbury Expressway).

At end of A558 turn right onto A56 towards the M56.

Before reaching M56 turn left onto Newton Lane.

Continue on Newton Lane until end and turn left onto Summer Lane.

Continue on Summer Lane and then turn left onto Hatton Lane B5356.

Turn left onto Daresbury Lane and then enter car parks.

There is parking for 12,000 vehicles on site.

Buses Warrington Borough Transport will be operating bus services to and from the event site.

A direct service will be operating from the bus station to the event on Saturday, August 26, between noon and midnight.

Single tickets must be bought before getting on the buses at the ticket stands in the bus station. Return tickets must be bought separately at the event site before leaving.

A direct service will be operating from the event to Scotland Road on Sunday, August 27, between midnight and 7am.
