AN ANTI-FUEL theft device created in Warrington has gone international.
Specialised Designs, of Risley, has generated widespread interest in the Middle East as oil prices rise. The device will prevent thieves draining lorry fuel tanks.
Neil Burns, partner of Specialised Designs, said: "There are no drawbacks with our anti-syphon. We are getting inquiries from many countries, including Dubai and other oil-rich territories."
Around 20,000 fuel thefts from major transports were reported in the UK last year. The models cost £99 each and aim to completely eliminate the risk of fuel being stolen.
