KERRY KATONA is understood to have snapped up five houses in one of the town's most well-known streets.

The three-months pregnant star is reported to have bought the terraced properties for £150,000 on Grasmere Avenue, Orford.

It is thought the ex-Atomic Kitten star will rent out the properties at low cost to give something back to her hometown.

Max Clifford, the celebrity's spokesman, said Kerry was filming TV adverts for Iceland supermarket and could not confirm the reports.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Kerry lives at affluent Winwick Park with her daughters, Lily-Sue and Molly, by Brian McFadden, the former Westlife singer.

She is expecting her third child by new fianc Mark Croft, a taxi driver.

The street is ranked in the top 20 per cent of the country's most deprived areas.

Prices of Grasmere Avenue homes are currently on the market from £20,000 to £70,000, but it is thought the face of Iceland paid an average of £30,000 per house.

The run-down road, made up of former council houses, has been linked in recent years to court cases over drugs and violence with some resulting in Anti Social Behaviour Orders.

One home was recently raided by police during the town's biggest drugs bust.

When asked about her daughter's climb up the property ladder, mum Sue Katona said: "I really do not have a clue about any of this."

The properties are a far cry from Kerry's former life in a luxury mansion outside Dublin with her ex-husband.
