STAFF from four Warrington residential homes celebrated their success at an awards event at the Fir Grove Hotel.

The carers picked up National Voluntary Qulaification certificates at the event which also celebrated CLS, the area's largest residential car charity, achieving Investors in People status.

All the Warrington area homes: Booths Hill House in Lymm, Holcroft Grange in Culcheth, Houghton Hall in Orford, and Westy Hall in Latchford, were presented with their individual Investors in People plaques.

CLS is one of the few care home providers to run its own extensive in-house training scheme and this was reflected in the large number of carers receiving awards in cleaning and support services, catering and hospitality services and registered management, plus a range of other qualifications in accounting, payroll and business. Several home managers were there to support staff receiving awards along with trainers and assessors.

There was also a number of representatives from external training companies including Alliance Learning, Business Link, Wigan and Leigh College and Affirm4.
