THE borough council's environmental protection department has written to the Maltings Pub, said Clr Judith Wheeler.
She told the Warrington Guardian that the Bewsey Farm Close pub had been requested to keep the noise down or it could face prosecution, a £20,000 fine and a review of the licence.
The pub was also debated at the recent meeting of Great Sankey Parish Council.
Clr Wheeler, member for Whittle Hall, told the meeting that the pub had a 2am license and that she was not happy' that neither her nor fellow ward councillor Keith Gleave had known about the licensing hearing.
