AN aeroplane made a crash landing in Woolston.
The light aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at 5pm Monday in bushes on Juniper Lane, close to the M6.
The pilot, a 49-year-old woman from Halifax, and her passenger, a 59-year-old man from Aberdeen, suffered minor injuries.
A spokesman for Warrington police said: "It is amazing nobody was seriously hurt.
"Officers were called after a passing driver saw the plane going down next to the southbound carriage way of junction 21 and 21a.
"The air investigation branch is now conducting inquiries."
The microlight plane, which is thought to have suffered engine failure, took off from Barton Aerodrome in Salford.
