WE are constantly told that using public transport and ditching our cars will not only free up the roads but also be good for the environment.
Sounds like a good idea then.
But how can we be expected to rely on public transport when it is simply not convenient.
This week we bring you the news that passengers wanting to travel to the West Country will no longer be able to do so without changing trains.
Warrington is a mainline station and deserves to be treated as one.
This barmy plan should be stopped immediately.
It is pretty difficult to persuade someone to use the train when they do not run at convenient times - or in this case as they have in the past.
