ARE you ready to race yet?
The Warrington Guardian's charity of the year, Openingdoors is holding it's first family fun run next month, and while a range of runners have already signed up to take part in the event, you still have time to put your name down.
The charity for the homeless and people with housing needs has teamed up with New Balance to put on the event on September 23 at Woolston Park.
The run will start at 2pm, but organisers are asking if people could arrive at 12.30pm for registration. Children are invited to get involved in the run and people can also wear fancy dress.
There will be lots of prizes on the day: first, second, third prizes, giveaway prizes for children, prizes for best fancy dress and spot prizes and each person will receive a certificate for finishing the run.
Prizes will include new trainers, T-shirts and bags.
Jane Martin, from Openingdoors, said: "We have so far received a massive interest in our family fun run.
"It is a professionally organised event, so everyone can expect a great afternoon, with entertainment and great prizes to win.
"We still have loads of places to fill, so ring up now for an entry form"
Entrants will not have to raise sponsorship, just pay the £3 entry fee for adults or £1 for five-to-15-year-olds. Entry is free for under fives.
To pick up an entry form call into the Warrington Midweek office at The Academy or go online at warringtonguardian.co.uk or call 246936.
