Well its been a decent season for us so far, we are sitting second in the league, in the semi final of the Challenge Cup and we have had the best defensive record throughout the season. We have won 2 out of our last 3 games and lets be honest we have been pretty poor in all 3 of them games defensively around the ruck area, we leaked to many points against Hull KR and we also leaked to many points against a very injury ridden Bradford Bulls. I think losing to Leeds Rhinos did us a favour! It taught us that we have taken for granted what we are good at and thats defending strong. Sometimes a loss like we had against Leeds can be as good as a win, Tony Smith is all about performance and not necessarily about winning. Tony's thinks that if the performance is enthusiastic, aggressive and smart then the game will look after itself points wise. After the Bradford game Tony was really annoyed with the performance we displayed and although we got the win he wasn't happy, the following weekend against Leeds we lost and he was reasonably happy with the performance because we had improved, although not enough to beat Leeds. After the Leeds game we all sat down in the changing room at the Halliwell Jones and reflected on the defeat against Leeds and a few of the players came up with some suggestions as to why we have dipped inform the last couple of weeks, Tony agreed and had the same thoughts as the players so this week we have been putting these ideas into practice. I think this week against the Crusaders you will see a refreshed and more up beat Warrington Wolves side because thats what it will take to beat the Crusaders this week, they are a very good footballing side and they have some very talented players that like to score tries. It will take a good team effort to win this week but we are very prepared for it. Can I take this opportunity to thank everyone that as supported us this year its been fantastic, not only at the Halliwell Jones Stadium but at away games too. I hope you can see by the performances the lads are putting in that this year means a lot to us as a team and we are trying very hard to bring success to the Wolves not only for ourselves but also for you the fans that support us every week and take the time to cheer us on. I have everything crossed that we can have another trip to Wembley and hopefully bring the Challenge Cup back to the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
