TAKE a long drag, inhale and sit: this is one film you will want to savour.

This somewhat sarcastic film takes a look at the world of a tobacco spin doctor who is trying to justify his job to a young son living in an anti-smoking world.

But, smokers can breathe a sigh of relief, as the one thing this film doesn't do is preach.

Instead it points out that smokers are more than likely to be well aware of the dangers of what they are doing each time they take a cigarette to their mouth.

This film has a laugh at the expense of those on each side of the battle line.

And there is an all-star cast to back up this look at all sides of the debate. Aaron Eckhart takes on the role of tobacco lobbyist Nick Naylor, with Rob Lowe and William H Macy putting in excellent comedy supporting performances as a Hollywood super agent and a senator looking for a bandwagon.

Throw in Katie Homes as the so-called ruthless journalist prepared to do anything to get her story and you are well on your way to a good movie!

But the main focus is on Nick Naylor and his son, yet you won't find any emotional clichs here.

It is because the film is so light that you are able to laugh so much at the sometimes politically incorrect viewpoints.

Eight out of ten - A refreshing look at the anti smoking debate.
