MOVIES based on real life are always difficult to judge.
How much of what you are watching is real? How much is made up to please a Hollywood executive?
It's a minefield.
What Munich provides though is a fascinating insight into one of the enduring moments of the 20th century.
There are elements that leave you slightly confused. Whether members of the Jihad should be held up as generally nice guys doing a day job is open to debate.
But there are genuinely dramatic and frightening moments in this Spielberg epic, which was nominated for five Oscars - including Best Picture.
The film charts the story of the secret Israeli warriors selected to track down and kill the 11 Palestinians believed to have planned the Munich massacre, which saw 11 Israeli athletes slaughtered at the Olympic Games.
Watch this film and enjoy the spectacle. But also pick up some books and judge the attacks for yourself - you may come out with a different conclusion.
