Kiwi international second rower hugely respected in both hemispheres, Swann was a class act in his first season at Warrington after returning to his specialist position as an 'edge' back rower. A strong and athletic runner who takes control of the fringes in defence, he forms a devastating triangle on the Wolves right edge alongside Martin Gleeson and Henry Fa'afili, scoring a double figure try count of his own in 2005. A junior with Otahuhu Leopards and Allersley Eagles in New Zealand, Swann joined the Auckland Warriors colts in their inaugural season as a franchise in the Australian competition in 1995. Achieved the unusual distinction of winning three Test caps before he had even played first grade for the Warriors, called up to the New Zealand squad for the 1996 whitewash against Great Britain after impressing for a New Zealand Residents XIII against the touring Lions. Went on to become a stalwart of the Warriors side for seven seasons, winning the Minor Premiership in 2002 and playing in the Grand Final defeat to Sydney Roosters the same year. Part of the history-making Kiwi tourists of 1998 who became the first New Zealand side to win a Test series in Great Britain, he also played in the 2000 World Cup Final. Joined Bradford Bulls for a season in 2004, winning the World Club Challenge and playing in a losing Grand Final for the second time in his career, against Leeds Rhinos. The third member of his family to have played for the Wolves in Super League, Logan follows cousins Willie (1996-97) and Anthony (briefly in 2001). Does not count on the overseas quota under the Kolpak ruling as he has a Samoan passport.
